The title sequence of the chick flick film Clueless begins with a computer screen. Within seconds of appearing the screen becomes alive, presenting clothes hangers. Along with this action, music also begins to play. The music played is up beat and lively. As opening music usually relates to the theme/genre of a film, this music implies that Clueless will be a film far from  horror/thriller or any other genres similar. The optimistic music creates a sense of enjoyment and creates the urge to move/bop slightly to the beat. This causes a sense of excitement for the audience, making them eager to see what is to come. Throughout the title sequence, bright colours are used, such as light blue, yellow and pink. These colours connote happiness and new beginnings, suggesting that this film will be about realisation and  fresh starts. On the computer screen various outfits appear. Each outfit looks expensive, as if owned by a wealthy person. This gives the audience a small insight on the character and their personality. As the clothes is for girls, it is obvious that the main character will be female. The audience may assume due to the expensive clothing and the overall fact that the title sequence is focused on luxuries, that the main character may be spoiled and perhaps shallow. It is clear that the computer being used is an old version due to the bulkiness - a model from the 90's, implying that this is the era the film will be set in. Computer pixel font is used to present the opening credits relating to the current theme of online. This also makes it seem more authentic. The title sequence does a good job at relating to the theme/genre of the film which is chick flick, it does this by using stereotypical "girly" colours such as pink and bases the whole title sequence on "female" aspects such as clothes, shoes and mobile phones.
