Suicide Squad is a popular successful film that has done very well in box offices this year. Its opening starts off with title sequences on motion/still images but slowly moves to animation. having a mixture of both. This allows the audience to see an insight to the film and narrative as it shows all the well known characters and fictional animated superhero included in the film. This is effective as it excites the audience to see the film and sets high expectations of a good film immediately. The titles are integrated with the film through animation. The sound track of the opening title is very effective as it builds suspense, tension and excitement as it starts of very slow creating mystery with sound effects such as the jokers laugh to terrify the audience straight away. The music slowly and slowly builds getting faster and more upbeat towards the end as if something dramatic is going to happen. From this the audience can infer that the film is going to be an action as it includes all the codes and conventions and the sound enhances the action theme. The order of the title sequence starts with the institution and production companies which are warner brothers and DC comics which not only sets high expectations for the film already as warner brothers are world wide well known for their movies but also hints to the audience its going to be an action film included animation by the DC comics. Then, it leads to the cast credits, actor credits and the film title at the end, following the typical order of credits.
