Alessandra wants revenge. She wants her sister to feel the same pain she has been enduring for years, trapped inside a small room with white walls and being forced to swallow colourful pills daily. Alessandra, despite her mental issues, is an intelligent woman. She plans to get to her sister through social media - Facebook. She deceives her sister by making a fake Facebook profile, under the name Alex Smith and begins pursuing her. Compliments, conversations and questions. Alessandra slowly begins to learn about aspects of her sister's life, from where she works to where she spends her time on weekends. Slowly, but surely, Alessandra's conniving plan begins to unfold.
We have decided to create actual Facebook pages for our characters as this makes our film more realistic. Many scenarios such as people being stalked on their social media accounts occur in real life, which is what our film is based on with a twist. By adding the realistic aspect of creating actual social media accounts, it makes the film seem more believable and therefor heightens the audience's experience. Also creating a more serious / frightening tone, as it is possible that such elements in our film to happen in real life. We have chosen to use the Facebook over other other social media websites, as Facebook is very well known with 1.79 million monthly users. It is very unlikely that audience members will not understand what Millicent and Alessandra are using to interact with each other.
